Hello again

Hi All,
So sorry I haven't been around for such along time. It's been a very busy time..
renovating our house and also preparing for my son's wedding!!

The builders have finally started work on the house and I will hopefully get it back in the next three or four weeks!! I hope.......

We travelled to Winchester for our son's wedding and it was awesome!!

This is my beautiful daughter-in-law twirling in her gorgeous wedding gown

and this is a very, very happy couple :)

They had a fantastic wedding and everyone had a great time, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day.

I promise I will be back soon when my house is finished and I will have lots more time to spend sharing all my news and thoughts.

Take care for now, Jane x

Finally.............We moved and I'm back!!

Well its been a very long haul and I'm sorry I haven't been around for a couple of months, but we finally moved in May. Our little house in Suffolk is absolutely lovely and will be beautiful after we have finished all the renovations.

This is the blocked up fireplace waiting to be discovered....................

   And ..........................

Tah dah............... an original fireplace from 1830!!

I was thrilled to find this gorgeous fireplace behind the boards and wall paper. It's in lovely condition and a lovely feature to the room.

My little Beccles kitchen, just waiting to be renovated and loved.............

I have some great ideas for my renovation projects and can't wait to see it all come together. What I'm most looking forward to is my kitchen so that I can really get in to cooking and baking again and my shed in the garden. I am having a crafting shed. My lovely hubby is going to insulate it and put electric and lighting in for me. So I'm very excited about these two favoutire places of mine.  I will of course keep you posted and take lots more photo's as I go.

This is our garden...........

I am looking forward to evolving the garden and turning it into a lovely wildlife space for the birds, bees and butterflies. We have already been very fortunate to see a Bluetit sit on her eggs in the nesting box and feed her chickes. We could hear them everytime she went in to feed them, (I'm told she visits the nest every ninety seconds) and then encourage them to fledge the nest. It really was a pleasure and privalage to see her working so hard. We think she may have had a least eight chicks.

I haven't really had much time lately for all my lovely craft projects but have loads of new ideas. And once again we are half way through the year again and I will be thinking of making lots of gifts for all my loved ones and friends to give as christmas presents. I thinnk the planning takes just as long as the making!!!

Anyway, I'm pleased that I have finally found a little bit of time to get in touch again. I must leave you now, but I promise I will be back again very soon.

Until then, have a great weekend. Happy days, crafting and baking.  Jane x

'Still haven't moved'

Hi,
Well here I am again after such a long absence......and guess what? we still haven't moved!!! Our house now looks very empty of all stuff we don't want to take with us. Furniture has been distributed to loving homes and all stuff hoarded over the years have hopefully found new homes via the charity shops!! I must say, it does feel great having cleared out all my cupboards and got rid of all the stuff that has been lurking for such a long time, quite liberating. And, I've been able to go through all my craft things, which is great as it now gives me a great excuse to go out and buy lots of lovely new things!!

In amongst all the clearing getting ready to move I have been able to do a little bit of crafting. I made this cute long legged owl for my daughter Juliette

Mr Hoot

I think spring has definitely sprung, albeit all the very cold weather we have been having, and the BIGGEST hail stones in a very long time......the birds are singing and the flowers are in bloom. I can't wait to get moved so we (my gorgeous hubby and I)) can get started on renovating our new home. Spring and the sunshine is the perfect time to start things new and get stuck into new projects. So, I hope whatever you choose to get started on will be a great success.

I will be back again soon. Hopefully with the news that we have moved and share all my excitement with you.

Take care until then. Stay well and happy. Jane x

'Mother's Day'

Happy Mother's Day to you all.........I hope you have a really lovely day.

I am looking forward to this afternoon as I am going to my daughter's for afternoon tea.

I've been busy in the last few weeks running around getting ready to move again! We are very excited about the move, we are going to Suffolk and have found a gorgeous little cottage in a very old market town........

So, I have finished my last Wedding Cake order for a lovely couple who got married yesterday.

and now I am going to make a start on boxing up my craft room and all my cake decorating equipment.

We are hoping to move in early April so not very long now.....so if I disappear for a while it's because of the job I hate most about moving, and that is the packing.

So if I don't get chance to stop by for a while.....
Have a lovely day, stay well and happy. Take care, Jane x

Sunday 4 March 2012

Hi all,

I am so sorry that I haven't been around for ages. There has been loads going on in my life and haven't had time to stop and breath just for a few minutes............even to come by and say 'hello' to you all.

My husband and I are moving to Suffolk, to a lovely old market town, and I can't wait!! We have been house-hunting in the area and it's such a pretty place.

I have managed to do a little bit of crafting and knitting, but not as much as I usually do.

There are so many projects that I would like to get underway, and I've been looking around my room itching to get started but then think of all the packing I have to do....

Here are my latest little projects. Hope you like them....

This is a handful of Hearts for my Valentine......The loveliest husband in the world!!

knitting needle holder for my new bamboo needles.

Ta-dah......

And my new cushion looks right at home with the others!!

I am in the middle of making a Tea Cosy for a competion for charity that I spotted in a wool shop in Suffolk, and the lovely ladies who own the shop convinced me to make one! It's all in a good cause so I agreed. So Once it is finished I will let you all have a look.

It's a real miserable Sunday here today. Raining and it's turned chilly again. After all the beautiful sunshine we had last week too, nevermind, spring is just around the corner and soon it will be Mother's day and Easter.

Have a lovely day, whatever you are doing, enjoy and relax. x
